Rockingham, Western Australia

Located just 45 minutes from south of Perth. Rockingham is a city that is main attractions are teeming with birdlife and wild marine life. I visited Rockingham Beach and Point Peron. Both of the places are totally stunning!

Rockingham Beach

The protected Rockingham Beach is an ideal beach for families as well as a safe snorkelling environment. It has been awarded the state's cleanest beach for 2010. The sand is really soft and white. The water is shallow. Around the beach, you can rent paddle board just 8AUD/hour. Cool, eh?

Along the coast, you will find many birds around there such as seagulls, corellas, and terns. All of them are not harmful at all. You night see them chasing each other or fighting or eating fruits. Moreover, on the land, it has small playground area for little kids. so do not worried that your kids will be bored! If you discover all of the Rockingham Beach, I recommended you to visit Warnbro Beach or Shoalwater Bay but, again, if that does not fulfill your travel hunger, Penguin Island is another great yet brilliant travel spot at Rockingham too.

Cape Peron

To make it more romantic (optional) you can bring your partner to see sunset here. It is not a bad idea at all! With little bit of champagne or wine, this place is totally perfect for a late afternoon date or something unusual. Trust me, she will say "this place is so breathtaking!"

Reminder: Point Peron is noted for its protected beaches, so do not pick up, disturb or destroy environment around that area plus pick up your trash after yourself every time.
